The Big Boys!
Having sponsors for racing isn’t just about putting logos on stuff and cars; it’s about creating invaluable partnerships that directly impact the athlete’s performance. For athletes, sponsors provide the financial backing necessary to participate in races and acquire top-quality equipment. This support is not just about the money, it’s about the opportunity to compete at the highest level, free from the burden of financial constraints. Moreover, sponsors often share their expertise and advice, helping athletes to improve and reach their full potential.
On the other hand, sponsors benefit from the extensive exposure and marketing opportunities that come with the partnership. Their logos and branding are prominently displayed during races, reaching a large and enthusiastic audience of fans and potential customers. This exposure can significantly increase brand recognition and customer loyalty, making sponsorship a win-win for everyone involved.
Many athletes would find it hard to chase their racing dreams without sponsors. The cost of joining races, getting licenses, buying gear, and eating right can be a lot, especially for those just starting the sport. By providing the necessary support and resources, sponsors make it possible for athletes to concentrate on training and performing, thereby making racing events more exciting and competitive.
Little Old Me!
My sponsors, your support means the world to me. It’s not just about the financial aid, but the belief you have in me and the opportunities you provide. You are an integral part of my racing journey, and I am deeply thankful for your support.
Understanding the regulations and rules of racing is crucial. For instance, 4th Category riders and those without a Racing Licence or Day Licence can wear any suitable clothing while competing. However, riders in the 3rd category or above must race unattached and in plain kit if registered club clothing is not available. As a member of team Rule 28 x ATP Performance, I adhere to these rules and always wear the kit they provide. While I can’t wear sponsored names during races, I can do so during training. Teams and clubs are required to register and pay an annual affiliation fee, which increases if individual sponsorships are registered and advertising agreements are made. It isn’t cheap….
